I am a first-year Ph.D. student at School of Biomedical Sciences, Li Ka Shing Faculty of medicine, The University of Hong Kong majoring in Bioinformatics. My current research focuses on the identification of novel structural variants to subtype patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia based on long-read sequencing, advised by Dr Jason Wong.

Prior to joining HKU, I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics from Harbin Medical University in 2019. Subsequently, I pursued my Master of Science degree in Biology at Shanghai Institute of Hematology, Ruijin Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2022, doing research about deciphering the mechanism of leukemogenesis across various subtypes (e.g., DUX4-IGH and MEF2D fusions). Following that, I worked as a technician for 10 months at Shanghai Institute of Immunology, where my responsibilities included sequencing platform construction.

Dec 1, 2023	I am delighted to share that the manuscript titled Transcription factor 12 mediated self-feedback regulatory mechanism is required in DUX4 fusion leukemia has been accepted by the esteemed journal, Clinical and Translational Medicine, following an extensive review and revision process spanning nearly two years. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr Zhihui Li, one of the co-authors, for her invaluable assistance. Without her contributions, I believe it would not have been possible for us to have this entire story accepted by CTM.
Nov 8, 2023	Recently, I purchased a new Mac mini equipped with the M2 Pro chip for daily work needs because my old MacBook Pro (Intel, 2018) is broken due to overheat.
